Are you ready for a Challenge ? New Adventures and Experiences ?

Then Come Out and Join the 2990!

The Army Cadet program is open to all young people between 12 and 18 who are either Canadian citizens or persons legally authorized to reside in Canada for an extended period of time. The 2990 meets every Thursday night September through May from 6:30pm-9:15pm at the Milton Fairgrounds, 136 Robert St, Bldg#3. We also offer numerous activities on weekends throughout the program year. New cadets and their parents are welcome to visit any Thursday and see first hand what our program has to offer.  Application forms are always available at our Headquarters building. Remember there is no cost to join and uniforms are provided for free. There is absolutely no requirement for cadets to join the Canadian Forces. Participation in certain Cadet activities qualifies for participation credits in The Duke of Edinburgh's award programme as well as Ontario High School community hours.

The 2990 accepts new recruits throughout the training year. We welcome anyone (potential recruits, friends, parents) who has an interest in the army cadet program to visit us on a Thursday Parade night September through May and see what we do. We welcome the opportunity answer your questions and provide information on our training, staff and policies. Remember participation in the Royal Canadian Army Cadets (RCACC) is FREE! Although participation in Army Cadets is voluntary we expect those who join the Corps to keep a high level of attendance. This ensures the Cadet is properly trained, is able to experience all that the Corps has to offer, and is eligible for promotion, awards, summer camps, and expeditions.
